What are the steps to become a Budget Blinds Franchise?

How often do people purchase window coverings?
Based on our experience, homeowners purchase window treatments every 4-7 years.  Of course, Budget Blinds offers more than just window treatments so you’ll be able to market your business back to previous customers to encourage them to buy area rugs, seasonal drapery panels, decorative mirrors and more.

How do you help me market my business locally?
We believe that your efforts are the key to making your business famous locally. So it’s important that your materials portray your business as professional and upscale.  As such we provide you with the following upon the start of your business:

  • Initial Marketing Plan – We prepare an initial local marketing campaign, with your input, that is specifically targeted to the customers in your territory for you to implement at your own expense.

Do I need a Contractors’ License and Bond?
This depends on where you will conduct business. All prospective franchisees should investigate all of the laws and requirements of the state or province, county or municipality in which they will do business.

What is the franchise fee?
The Budget Blinds initial franchise fee is $14,950.

What is the territory fee?
The Budget Blinds territory fee is $60,000 for a single territory. If you purchase the rights to two exclusive territories initially, we will discount the territory fee for each territory by $5,000, which will make your fees for two territories $110,000.

Do you help me secure financing?
Budget Blinds provides financing of up to $35,000 at 10% annual interest over a term of 60 months to qualified candidates.

I don’t have a lot of experience operating a business. Will there be someone to guide me through the process?
You bet! We’ll be here to guide you through the process. After initial training we have a team of business coaches who will proactively call you during your first 90 days in business to guide you through the day-to-day routine. After that, we’re just a phone call away if you have a question.

Plus, you may request to have one of our skilled field consultants visit your territory for face-to-face support.

Lastly, you have access to the network of your fellow franchisees who have “been there, done that” for advice.

I’ve owned a business before. I think I have a pretty good idea what to do, but may need some help with the products. Can you help?
Absolutely! Some of our business coaches are product experts who will help find the benefits to sell to your customers or tell you which drill bit to use when installing a bracket. Yes, they’ll even tell you what a bracket is if necessary.  Our Alliance Vendors are also great sources of information regarding their products.
